June 13, 2013 "Subsurface Exploration Techniques: IPL Project" GUEST SPEAKER J. Mark Wilkerson, P.G. The initial phase of the IPL project is nearing completion. Construction is planned to begin next year. This presentation will discuss exploration and evaluation techniques used to characterize the subsurface along the alignment. Mr. Wilkerson is a geologist in Fugro Consultants, Dallas office. In this position, he conducts geologic investigations of water projects, including pipelines, dams, reservoirs, levees and tunnels. He holds degrees in geology and has spent the past 35 years as a curious geologist working in the areas of engineering, energy and environmental.
